Review: Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque

Remember when I got this way back in January when I went strictly Cone free with my hair
regimen?

Well I have finally gotten around to it, so here goes.  At the time I had already determined what ingredients I would use for my homemade deep conditioners but was looking for something I could also travel with on those days I would not be able to DC at home since I travel between states sometimes.

So while in Target I spotted this for 10 bucks and thought it was reasonably priced, especially for a product that contains all natural ingredients.

Whatt attracted me most about this DC was it's super thickness. I tend to like thicker conditioners but I don't think I've come across one as creamy and thick as this one.

The scent was very strong and the scent did linger for a day but nothing major.

At the time I was still playing around with some products which are pretty much the same I use now. I did like this Hair Masque but found that my hair liked it most for it's strengthening properties as opposed to the moisture I was expecting. So I ended up using it when I noticed my hair shed more than usual and to strengthen my hair.

To add that moisturizing and shine effect I was looking for I would add coconut oil and olive oil alternating bi weekly, if not my hair would feel stiff afterwards.

Overall I liked it but won't be purchasing again, I may give the curl enhancing product they have a try one of these days. Here are a few pics I took of my curly fro after using this hair masque.

I agree with you. It doesn't really do it for me either. Not very impressed w/ this product.

I really wanted to like this product too! I smells divine, but my hair had no slip afterwards! Plenty of moisture and strength, but no slip. I would highly recommend trying the Coconut Hibiscus curling smoothie. This leaves my hair soft, tangle-free, and smelling nice.:-)

looks good! I have this product and saw it again the other day when i was cleaning out old products from under the sink. I was going to try it as a pre-poo for the colder months. I used it once alone and ughhh no bueno lol
