I'm not too big on thrift shopping, but recently I have found myself to stumble into a few places near my new place and have been hooked. I was simply strolling around my neighborhood this weekend and spotted this little christian school with a thrift shop attached. I decided to go in since I've been looking for a mini vase for my desk, and thought I may find something.
Did not find the vase but I ended up with a purse, sweater dress and two necklaces one of them pictured above. I paid $1.00 for it and thought it would be great for my meditation sessions. I 'm looking into connecting with water deities and thought this would be a great tool to use considering it's made of sea shells very nicely paired together. Not sure yet how I will be using it exactly but that's what I have in mind. I'll do another post on the purse and sweater dress.
I also got this ankh necklace at the thrift shop, also a dollar to layer with other necklaces and charms I have. My first thrift shop experience was pretty good. As with most things I receive previously used be it furniture or whatever, I always smudge them, to rid the items of any vibrations that may not be in tune withe me etc... Yeah I'm a bit superstitious like that.. lol
In the mean time I've been on a peacock binge as far as jewelry shopping. The earrings pictured above I got at this store namde Rue 21 for $5. I love to wear them wth a high bun since they claim so much attention.
These are also a pair of peacock earrings I got at Walmart for $5.
I've also been pulling forgotten items from my stash like these enamel hoop earrings pictured above.
and decided to get this very pretty sparkly ring out of the dark too...
I also picked up this very pretty Jade bracelet last weekend on sale for $20. I've always admired Jade and thought it was about time I add a piece or two of Jade to my collection.
So these are my favorite things I've been rotating recently. I'm starting to really like Jade and hav been eyeing this very pretty green pendant, May have to pick it up soon!

There is nothing like thrifting. You can find such goodies out there. I usually look for plates that are one of a kind for my plating food for my blog.
